I was raised in a family who considers education to be a top priority. In addition to that and several experiences with extremely influential teachers, I decided that teaching was what I wanted to do. I graduated from Eastern Illinois University with my Bachelor of Arts in English and a secondary teaching certificate. I was always interested in teaching underprivileged or struggling youth, which is what led me to CALO. I have always held the core belief that relationships are the key to almost everything in life, including education. I felt so lucky to find a place like CALO that shares this core belief. I look forward to many years of helping students to find value in education and to learn how to build healthy relationships in all aspects of life.
