Darcey Wittcoff-Imler

Morgan S

Darcey joined the Animal Assisted Therapy Department in August 2020, however she began her journey at Calo October 1, 2018 as a teen boys Coach. Initially she helped a community team, then safety team, and quickly moved up to Senior Coach. During her time as a Teen Boys Coach and Senior Coach, she was able to establish trusting and healthy relationships with the boys community. In September 2021 she took an additional growth step into becoming the Animal Assisted Therapy Manager. Darcey raised 4 children in Westlake Village, California, and one of her son’s grew up going to residential treatment from age 9 – 18. Having a child of her own in residential treatment, allows her to fully understand and empathize with all of our families and students. Darcey moved to Lake Ozark, Missouri in 2017 after her children were grown and had left the nest. Since moving to Missouri and working at Calo, she has found her passion again helping guide the Teen Boys and Teen Girls canine therapy groups and their canine foster/adoption programming. Each day, Darcey is excited to help the students become more effective canine handlers as they journey to the experience of transferable attachment.
