Josh Nordean, M.S., L.P.C.

Josh joins the Calo team after relocating with his family from Tulsa, OK where he has worked with teens in a variety of settings for the past 14 years as a teacher, coach, youth mentor, case manager, pastor and therapist. After learning about Calo, he was inspired by the synergy between his own treatment philosophy and the relational emphasis of the Calo model as it focuses on addressing the underlying issues of trauma and attachment rather than solely on behavior. Josh graduated summa cum laude from Oklahoma State University w/ a Master’s of Science Degree in Community Counseling after spending a year working at the Tulsa Boys Home, a residential facility serving students with a variety of issues related to substance abuse, trauma and attachment. Most recently he has worked as a therapist for the mental health crisis team in Tulsa County serving over 700,000 residents and working with law enforcement and various inpatient facilities to ensure the safety of those in crisis as well as the severely mentally ill. He has experience working with clients and families from a variety of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds and is excited to join the Calo family and bring his experience alongside the variety of dynamic therapies provided at Calo to help facilitate healing for students and their families. Josh enjoys anything related to sports and being outdoors and loves spending time with his wife and three sons.
