Mindy was born and raised in Missouri, with 3 brothers and 2 sisters. After graduating high school Mindy joined the Air Force and was a combat arms instructor for 8 years. She then spent several years at home raising her 7 children. Mindy returned to school and received a bachelor’s degree of psychology from Drury University and a master’s degree of clinical, marriage and family counseling from Webster University. She has worked in residential care for 6 years and her passion is to serve others and aid in the healing of their trauma and the relationships affected by their trauma. Mindy has experience in working in various environments such as in-home counseling services for children in foster/adoptive homes, foster/adoptive family education classes, domestic violence, LGBTQ community, couples and family therapy. She is trained in TCTSY, DDP, Brain spotting, CBT, trauma informed and trauma focused therapies. When not at work Mindy enjoys refurbishing furniture, interior decorating and event planning. She finds the most enjoyment from spending time with her children, grandchildren and playing roller derby.
