The excellence of any residential treatment center is determined by the experience and depth of its team. Our employees are growth-minded and empathetic; they have a servant heart and an innate ability to develop trusting relationships.

Our therapists, medical staff, admissions team, teachers, and every employee at Calo have made personal commitments to Calo’s core purpose of Profoundly Changing Lives and Creating Joy. We encourage you to explore these pages and meet our Team to learn more about where we are from, what we have done, and why we are here.

Calo offers one of the highest employee-to-student ratios in the residential treatment field.

And therefore boasts one of the highest employee-to-student ratios in the residential treatment field. At Calo, where relationship is the change agent, we depend on a large dedicated and committed team to understand each student as an individual. Our families are not looking for a quick fix and they don’t want to be a number; they want to become an integral part of the Calo Family and be a critical piece in their child’s future success.

Our Team is personally driven by Calo’s mission

Most of our employees, from the Founders to the front line coach, have personal experience and training with adoption and trauma. As an example, Calo’s main Founder, Landon Kirk, EmbarkBH Chief People Officer, has privately adopted three children. And like them, there are many others. Suffice to say, we understand. This is much more than a job for all of us. Working at Calo is our calling.
